Guidelines for Authors a) Conditions: 1. The paper must be innovative, scientific, well typed and in good style. 2. The paper must not be previously published, or sent to another press. 3. All received papers are to be refereed. b) Instructions: 1. The author must provide a request to publish his paper. 2. The author must provide Four hardcopies of his paper (the original plus two copies) in Arabic. The paper must be typed using Microsoft Word on an IBM compatible PC. The paper must be printed on single faced A4 papers, leaving 3 cm for each margin. The pages of the paper should be sequentially numbered, along with numbering figure s and tables (if available). The author must also provide an electronic copy of his paper. In addition, the author must provide an Arabic and an English abstract for his paper, each of which not exceeding 200 words. 3. The font type used for typing is Traditi onal Arabic, with the size of 20 pt for headings, 18 pt for the main text and 14 pt for footnotes. 4. The paper must not exceed 40 pages. 5. The paper must include the title of the paper, the author's name, his address, his title and his affiliation. 6. Book references are to be cited in one of the two following ways: a. The reference is cited in the main text, where the author mentions the abbreviation, followed by the part and page number, then the Hadith number. Example: Narrated by Al-Bukhari in the Correct (1/88 H 166) or Al-Nawawi Said in the Collection 8/29: "…." b. The reference is cited in a footnote. Example: Ibn Qudama Said "…."(1) 7. Paper references are to be cited in a footnote, where the author mentions the title of the paper and the title of the journal. Example: The author mentioned in his Paper that he did'nt Stop at any one Saying this "…." (2) 8. Footnotes must be mentioned in their respective pages. 9. In the reference list, the book citations should start with author's full name, followed by the title of his work/book, his year of death, the publisher and year of publication. The same with journal citations, in which they should start with the title of the paper, its author, the title of the journal and its volume. 10. When mentioning names of Arab or Islamic scholars, the year of death should be mentioned in Hijri (lunar) year if the scholar is deceased. As for foreign names, the names should be written in Arabic, followed by the name in English/Latin letters between brackets. The name should be fully written when first mentioned in the paper. 11. The paper will be returned to the author, whether or not the paper is published. 12. The author will be given two copies of the journal, along with 20 copies of his paper free of charge. Any more copies will be charged according to the Editorial Board. 13. The author must follow the corrections of the referees. In addition, the author must provide a justification for not following a certain correction by the referees. 14. The papers published reflect the opinions of their authors. 15.
