٢٥١ The Qur’anic Context in interpreting “In the shade of the Qur’an” Prepared by Nazmeah Omran Srour Supervised by Dr. Suleiman Al-Dgoor Abstract This study aims at discussing th e Quran context in interpreting a book entitled (Fi Dhilal al-Quran “( In the shade of the Quran),” by Sayyid Qutb, in an attempt to reveal the importance of interpreting the Quranic context. Moreover, this study addressed the c oncept of the Qur’anic Context, its characteristic, indicating its types a nd highlighting its linguistics terms and the benefits of compliance with thes e terms and the dangerous impacts of ignoring this compliance. As it also highlights parts of the life of the master of the shade “Sayyid Qutb” starting from his childhood until his martyr- May A llah have mercy on him, it also introduced his interpre tation (commentary) and his adopted methodology, as well as, it highlights his countless merits, and his hardly mentioned accounted flaws, comparing to his numerous merits. This study also aims to reveal the concept of cont ext to Sayyed Qutb, its types, and it identifies the extent of his commitment to the Qur’an linguistics terms– May Allah have mercy on him- wh ich resulted huge benefits on its interpretation In addition to, this study emphasizes on the importance of taking the Qur’anic context into consideration in interpreting “In the Shade of the Qur’an”, and its effects in selec ting the pronunciation, identifying implication of Qur’an composition and the preference and guiding, in All Rights Reserved - Library of University of Jordan - Center of Thesis Deposit
