Thank befits His Majesty and great authority. I bear witness that there is no god except Allah. Prayers and peace envoy to the mercy to the worlds” our Prophet Muhammad” and his family and companions and follow his Sunnah until the Day of Judgment. To begin with, Allah’s Book that has been sent down with Seven Ahrûf is a strong rope of Allah. Muslim Scholars worked on authoring everything related to the Holy Quran either in direct connecting or indirect connection, particularly those that relate to forms of Qira'at and the difference in Ahrûf. The scholar who did incredibly well in this regard, is Imam Albasrah in reading, language, syntax and prosody. Abo Hatem Bin Mohammad Bin Othman Bin Yazead Al- Sijistani (Died 255 A.H) was described as the one who was capable of extracting the hidden. He had verities of well written books and was Imam Mosque Albasrah. Al-Hafiz Ibn Al-Jazari said about him “I believe he was the first in sorting Qira'at and had a choice in Qira'at as we mentioned about him, ….. and he did not disagree the famous seven Qira'at apart from this verse { ﱠنﻥِإﺇ ٌطﻁﯾﻳِﺣُﻣ َنﻥوﻭُﻠَﻣْﻌَﯾﻳ ﺎَﻣِﺑ َﮫﻪـﱠﻠﻟاﺍ } “Indeed, Allah is encompassing of what they do.” Verse 120, Al-Emran. Choices of Abo Hatem are from the choices that scholars recognized in the areas of Riwaya and Diraya in which they have not had studied an individual study. I hope that this dissertation will contribute to enrich the aspect of the choices to Qira'at scholars. On the other hand, the importance of the topic of this dissertation is to reveal that Abo Hatem had wide knowledge in Sharia and Arabic Sciences. Al-Dhahabi said “he had deep knowledge in languages, poetry, prosody, stories and extracting the hidden”. He said his choice was based on usul that was taken from people who followed the trace of Sanad and meditated Qira'at.

In addition to that, what it was known to him about what the Prophet peace be upon him and the companions and followers said. The plan of the project: The plan is divided into four sections; introduction, preface, two sections and conclusion. Introduction: this includes the importance of the topic, the reasons for choosing it, its aims, previous studies and the research’s plan. Preface: this involves as followed: -Choice rule: First of all, before talking about the choice rule, I defined Qira'at and the choice in both of language and definition and then mentioned the choice rule as Prophet Mohammad peace be upon him allowed those who read Quran, they could read it according to Seven Ahrûf to facilitate the nation. -Its controls: To ensure Sanad Qira'at is correct and follow the actual font of the Holy Quran and Arabic Language. -Its concept: The evolution of its definition and its meaning was known by readers who were schooled by the companions of the Prophet peace be upon him until the era of Ibn Al- Jazari Allah's mercy. First section: Abo Hatem Al-Sijistani and his method in the choice. This is divided into three chapters: 1- His personal life and career 2- The position of Abo Hatem’ choices 3- His rules and ideas about the choices
عدد الصفحات ٨٨٤3 Second section: Gathering the choices of Abo Hatem Al-Sijistani in Farsh Al- Ahrûf and studying them from Al-Fatiha to An-Nas. Conclusion: To disclose the fact that Abo Hatem choices can be considered in the matter of Diraya not Riwaya and he agreed with a lot of readers, particularly those in Alhijas and Iraq. He depended on the regulation of correct reading, deviated from Seven Qira'at in sixteen Ahrûf and from ten Qira'at in one harf. In the conclusion as well, I mentioned all the references. Research Methodology: In this research I tried to follow the inductive analytical method as followed: 1- I gathered Abo Hatem choices from Qira'at Books that mentioned his choices by Riwaya and Isnad ways and these include: Alghaia for Ibn Mahran, Almontahi for Khazaee, Aleshara for Aleragi, Alkamel for Alhothili, and Aletha for Alondrabi. That was from the Holy Quran from Al-Fatiha to An-Nas. In addition, what was associated with Usul Qira'at. 2- I divided the choices into Usul (for example types of Almodod) and Farsh (the disputed readings between readers that are in Suras). Moreover, I conducted studies on the choices and extracted the information from their original sources. I mentioned people from the ten readers and the people of the choice such as Altabari and Maki who accepted his choices. I indicated the strength of reading via direct routing famous books. I named the scholar and mentioned his knowledge and his year of death.
